Summer Break Reminder:

July is UV Safety Awareness Month!

As you enjoy a well-deserved summer break, don’t forget to protect yourself from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Whether you're relaxing by the pool, exploring a national park, putting in some steps with Personify, or catching up on your yardwork, UV safety should be part of your summer routine.

  • Don’t skimp on broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) & remember to reapply every two hours, especially if you’re swimming or sweating!

  • Wear sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays when possible.

  • Use wide-brimmed hats & light, long-sleeved shirts when possible.

  • Find shade, especially during peak sun hours from 10 AM to 4 PM.

  • Check the UV index in your weather app before heading outdoors.

TIP OF THE MONTH

Sun safety meets smart spending! Did you know that certain sun protection items, sunscreen, sun-protective lip balm, and prescription sunglasses may be eligible for reimbursement through your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)? Keep your eyes & skin protected and your budget in check this summer!
